U 530 clocks up the points as part of the DLG-PowerMix Test.
The DLG Test Centre in Groß-Umstadt put a Unimog U 530 equipped for agricultural work through its paces as part of the DLG-PowerMix Test. In a nutshell, from now on, the U 530 can proudly bear the "DLG-anerkannt 2016" (DLG-approved 2016) seal of approval.
The DLG-PowerMix Test has established itself as a recognised measurement process for the fuel consumption of tractors under full and partial load. Numerous manufacturers have their newest vehicle models tested by the German Agricultural Society (DLG: Deutschen Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft).
The test offers practically-based possibilities to compare the consumption of work machines under standardised working conditions. The results are published in a database from the DLG and can be compared under various operating conditions within the DLG-PowerMix app.
The Unimog U 530 is the top model from the Unimog implement carrier model series. It's 299-hp engine output is coupled with Euro 6 technology to give the all-round talent a gross vehicle weight of up to 16.5 t whilst also allowing it to set a gross combination weight of 40 t in motion problem-free. The test proves that the Unimog is a very economical solution, particularly for transport applications.
