Agritechnica 2019: harvesting success with Unimog.
Sowing, fertilizing, irrigating, harvesting or haying - the job of a farmer is labor intensive and varied. And also contract service providers in the agricultural sector need reliable and efficient working materials for their services, for example in fertilizer and crop protection. At the Agritechnica in November, Unimog presents itself as a flexible all-rounder and a real alternative to the tractor in agriculture.
Unimog brings yield - all year round.
Especially during transport, the Unimog scores highly against tractors with its high payload of up to 25 t and its maximum speed of up to 90 km/h. And combines these power arguments with the benefits of being approved as a agricultural and forestry vehicle. In addition, despite high engine performance, a consumption advantage of up to 23 % over tractors.
Anyone who also wants to earn income off the main season can, thanks to flexible attachments with the Unimog, take over municipal tasks in the green area maintenance and winter service during the colder months of the year.
Mercedes-Benz Unimog shows wide range.
At the Agritechnica, the world's largest trade fair for agricultural machinery, Mercedes-Benz will be showcasing numerous new vehicles and applications for the all-rounder on the field and on the road: in addition to an Unimog U 530 with all-wheel steering and large-area spreader and an Unimog with EU tractor approval, visitors at the Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks' booth can expect a compact Unimog U 218 with agricultural equipment. At the same time various attachment and bodywork solutions for summer and winter use are exhibited.
