Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks shows utility vehicles for waste management and road maintenance.

The trade fair IFAT in Munich is the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. From Monday, May 14th till Friday, May 18th 2018, Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks showed powerful utility vehicles for waste management and road maintenance.

At booth 341 in hall C6, the Daimler AG presented three Special Trucks for municipal applications. Such as the Econic NGT with gas power that is used to dispose of waste in cities in an environmentally friendly, secure and economic way. Or Unimog for reliable and efficient street cleaning or wood care. On the grounds of the fair, "Truck in Action" featured an Econic with roll-off system and two Unimog U 530s for winter service. Further special solutions for Unimog could also be found at the booths of bodybuilders.

International meeting place for over 50 years.

The first IFAT was held in Munich from September 5–9, 1966. Under the name International Trade Fair for Sewage Technology, the IFAT began as a presentation platform for a special sector of the water industry. Since its founding year, the IFAT got a real crowd puller. During the past 50 years, the visitor numbers have increased from a starting figure of 10,200 to over 135,000 today.

Even as an information and communication platform the IFAT has got a lot in stock and convinces with a sophisticated supporting program. In addition to forums, country specials, technical discussions and special events, practical live demonstrations at the outdoor area complete the offer of the fair.
