International meeting place for over 50 years.
The first IFAT was held in Munich from September 5–9, 1966. Under the name International Trade Fair for Sewage Technology, the IFAT began as a presentation platform for a special sector of the water industry. Since its founding year, the IFAT got a real crowd puller. During the past 50 years, the visitor numbers have increased from a starting figure of 10,200 to over 135,000 today.
Even as an information and communication platform the IFAT has got a lot in stock and convinces with a sophisticated supporting program. In addition to forums, country specials, technical discussions and special events, practical live demonstrations at the outdoor area complete the offer of the fair.
In China, India, Eurasia and Africa, there are spin-offs of the IFAT.
