Unimog in the Swedish landscape.

The Alvinsson brothers use the Unimog for landscape maintenance, winter services and transport assignments.

Bengt and Göran Alvinsson have been great Unimog fans for over 40 years. As proprietors of their contracting company Alvinssons founded in 1966, they would not be without the all-rounder from Mercedes-Benz. "When you are sitting in a Unimog, you feel equal to any task," they enthuse. The two brothers particularly appreciate the good all-round visibility.

Flexibility is likeable.

"Thanks to the large, panoramic windscreen you always have a good view to the front," says Bengt Alvinsson. "Naturally this is of great practical benefit to us." The two Swedes also value the flexibility of the Unimog with its various hydraulic mounting points. "We mainly use our vehicles for landscape maintenance, and in summer and winter service on the roads. This means that we need different implements, for example a mower to cut grass or a Holms front-mounted sweeper for road-cleaning. So we greatly benefit from easy interchangeability between the different implements," says Bengt Alvinsson.

The two Swedes employ 25 personnel in their company based in Mönsterås. When the Unimog models in the company fleet are not trimming verges or maintaining roads, they carry out transport assignments. "The amazing payload makes the Unimog a very versatile workhorse," says Göran Alvinsson.

Expert service when it is needed.

What Bengt and Göran Alvinsson appreciate most apart from the vehicle attributes is the comprehensive range of available services. "We feel very well looked-after by the general distributor for Sweden, Swedmog," the brothers say. "This guarantees that our Unimog fleet will long continue to ensure tidy green areas and clean Swedish roads."
